I have been using the trial sample and now my mother wants to try it! I have very deep wrinkles from being a sun worshiper in Florida and also being a smoker. I have used this trial sample for the last month and I am seeing results I have not seen before. I have tried many different creams but this one seems to be different. I am very satisfied and will buy these products.
I only tried it once. Made my skin very tingly and uncomfortable. I tried getting a refund and got partial but the business practices associated with this product overall are sketchy so whether or not it does what it says, not a company or group of companies that I want to deal with.
Purchase what was describe as a sample of eye and skin cream. Web page was very plain, text and some results example pictures. Was described as pay shipping only. No mention of signing up for a subscription of any kind or any trial period or any other prices. All that info is buried in the terms link somewhere on the page.
I was initially suspicious of the invoice for the shipping only because it has no company name and no terms but it was for the shipping only as described so I dismissed it.
When I received the second invoices for a couple of hundred dollars, I had not even tried the product yet, just received it a day or so before, so I called to see about returning it and getting a full refund. I spoke to one girl who would do nothing and insisted I try the product and call back by Nov.19. I called back to the other number on the second order. It sounded like the same voice but she gave me a different name so not positive.
The second girl I spoke to yesterday said I would only be paying 29 because she was refunding 65% but then refunded 35% on one invoice only.
I called again today to speak to someone else and they refunded additional money. However, not 100% and they clearly try to convince you that all the details, no returns, 14 day trial period, legal contract, etc. I received the product right around the 14 day period from when I ordered, not when I received it. They can’t be offering you a 14 day trial period if you don’t know about it and it it ends before you even receive the product to try.
They direct you to a website that I don’t think anyone would forget. Big bright red arrow and all the detail they say you saw when you purchased but the site I was on did not have any big bright red arrows.
There was some association with Christie Brinkley on the page I ordered from. Further searching today finds there are several such products with different names all associated with Brinkley. In searching the various domain names and phone numbers and the name hydrolux, I did find one page that actually did a decent job of disclosing the terms on the main page. If you were on that page, you couldn’t argue that you knew you were signing up for a subscription. The text is clear and the same size as the rest of the page and not buried in a link. That is not what you see on the majority of pages associated with this product.
The invoices make no mention of any company name or address and every order has a different customer service number and different email behind the name “customer service”.
By the time I received the product, my internet history with the page I was on was already gone. I tried to find it but you end up in an endless circle of different company names and contact phone numbers. If it is a reputable business, why would they need so many different numbers and names.
They won’t tell you the company name when asked and only refer to themselves as customer service.
